Foundation Repair
Any structure requires a solid foundation, a damaged or failing one may result in shifting, cracking and even a full collapse. The two most common types of foundations in Muskoka are pier and poured cement. Piered foundations are the most prone to failure due to the nature of their construction, though all foundations fail for the same reasons; when the ground is or has become unstable underneath over time due to localise weather effects or soil erosion beneath the foundation construction itself.
SWC has long-term experience in both poured and pier-style foundation inspections and repairs. With any repair, securing the structure from below where foundation support is either entirely missing or noticeably lacking is a top priority; to prevent any continuing damage the structure is first perfectly leveled and then raised to allow for the appropriate repairs.
